In a nutshell:
Intimate boutique hotel with elegant and spacious guest rooms. Suitable for business or leisure.  Short distance from historic center; good choice for travelers with rental cars.  Nice pool and gardens.

Guadalajara is Mexico’s second biggest city, so within this metropolis it’s a delight to find such an intimate hotel. Located in a pleasant residential area about three miles from the center of town, the Quinta Real is only a few minutes to the main attractions by taxi.

One of the outstanding features of the hotel is the restaurant. It is highly regarded and popular with Guadalajara’s business community – yet still very suitable for a romantic tête à tête.

The Quinta Real also boasts an attractive outdoor swimming pool, a well equipped gymnasium, and a business center.

The concierge can arrange city tours and excursions to nearby Tlaquepaque, Chapala and Tequila either with a private car and driver or with a group tour.

The guest rooms are extremely comfortable and well furnished, with pleasing novelties in the decor.  We find the tranquility at the Quinta Real an ideal antidote to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Rooms

All of the quarters at the Quinta Real in Guadalajara are classed as suites. Although they consist of just one large room we reckon they deserve this higher rank.  Each of the rooms has a novel feature, maybe a lofty beamed ceiling or a particularly ornate headboard. Look inside the armoire to find the latest in satellite TVs with video recorders and CD players for rental too (CD players are included in the Gran Clase suites). The minibar is well stocked and the phone system is very modern.

Bathrooms are also generously sized and feature lots of marble and brass, soft fluffy towels and frilly curtains around the bath. Gran Clase suites also feature luxurious Jacuzzi tubs.

The Master Suites are located in a three story building near to the restaurant. Each room has a sitting area and can have either one king or two double beds. Connecting Master Suites are available at the hotel.

The suites are cooled by a central air-conditioning system and the flow of air can be controlled within the room (the Gran Clase suites have individual air-conditioning units).

The glamorous bathrooms feature an abundance of gilt and marble. The Master Suites have a large, comfortable tub with a shower above. If you prefer a Jacuzzi tub, check out the Gran Clase Suites.

Gran Clase Suites are located in a five story building with elevator access. They are extremely spacious rooms with a sitting area – often split level – furnished with armchairs and a sofa and either one king or two double beds.  Many rooms have a decorative fireplace or columns to add to the grandeur of the furnishings.

The Grand Clase Suites have enormous bathrooms with large hydrotherapy tubs. These rooms are equipped with everything to make your stay comfortable, from hairdryers to luxury toiletries.

The Presidential Suite is an impressive duplex suite with three large bedrooms, each with a king bed. The Master Bedroom is on the ground floor and two further bedrooms are upstairs.

The beautifully decorated living area is perfect for entertaining – the magnificent dining area would be impressive for either a formal dinner or even a board meeting. The suite is even equipped with a piano! A large, private terrace can be accessed from the sitting room.

The Presidential Suite’s Master Bedroom is on the ground floor and has a spectacular bathroom. Each bedroom in the suite has a writing desk, a TV, mini-bar plus an iron and board. This Master Bedroom also has a walk-in wardrobe. A large, almost circular, hydrotherapy tub takes center stage in the vast bathroom. There’s also a walk-in shower and an ornate vanity area.

The second and third bedrooms of the suite are almost identical, and both are on the upper floor of the suite. Each bedroom has a king bed and a high, beamed ceiling plus a bathroom with large Jacuzzi tub and shower above. Each can be locked independently.  These suites have a small step-out balcony with views over the rooftops or of the courtyards and gardens of the hotel.

restaurant

Entering the elegant restaurant, you have a choice. Take a table in the indoor section, where dark wooden furnishings, crisp white linen and crystal glasses dictate a formal atmosphere – perfect for an elaborate evening meal or romantic occasion.  Or maybe choose a table on the terrace, under the shade of white canopies and close to trickling fountains. This is our favorite spot for breakfast.

In the evening, the varied and enticing menu will have you congratulating yourself upon your choice of hotel.  The Quinta Real kitchen is noted for its innovation and high standards. One interesting feature common to all the hotels in the group is that you can choose from a selection of highlights from the menus of other hotels in the group.

pool

The Quinta Real boasts a small but enticing swimming pool nestled in the courtyard gardens. It’s open between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm daily.
