Queretaro

The historic monuments area of the city of Queretaro is a UNESCO world heritage site.

The city of Queretaro played an important part in the history of Mexico and is often called the “birthplace of independence”.  There’s much for tourists to see and do here, and it has been named a UNESCO heritage site.

 

The city streets are ideal for strolling, and there are numerous beautiful churches and fine colonial buildings.  In the evenings it is attractive and festive, particularly at the weekends.
