Upon leaving Cancun airport turn right (south) onto Highway 307 following the sign marked Chetumal or TULUM.

There are gas stations along the way at Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen, and then Puerto Aventuras.

After approximately 48 miles (77 km) you will pass Puerto Aventuras and 5km later you will see the Xpu-ha Palace Hotel on the left hand side of the road.

The entrance to Al Cielo Hotel (it has a small banner for the hotel) is the first driveway right after the driveway from Hotel Esencia, on the left hand side of the road.

You will need to drive a little further and make a U-turn at Hotel Catalonia Royal Tulum.

If you miss the Catalonia Royal Tulum resort, continue down the road a short distance to the Pemex Gas Station on your right, turn around and go back.

Turn down the previous entrance from Hotel Esencia , and follow it to the beach where it ends. You will have reached Al Cielo Hotel which is right on the beach.

The journey usually takes about one hour.
