the guest rooms
La Conchita's eight cabanas are arranged in a horseshoe shape directly facing the beautiful beach. Each is well equipped for a simple and relaxing beach vacation, with some lovely artistic touches in the furnishings and decor. Two of the cabanas (#1 and #7) are individual Mayan style houses, octagonal in shape and topped with a palapa roof. Each has a king size bed and a bathroom with shower.
Cabana #2 is the two bedroom suite; it has a king size bed on the first (ground) floor and a queen bed on the second floor. There is only one bathroom and it's located on the first (ground) floor.
The remaining five rooms are in 3 individual buildings, with those on the upper levels having lofty palapa roofs and those on the lower levels featuring a sofa that can sleep a child or possibly a third adult. All have a king size bed and private bathroom.
Whatever your choice, you are guaranteed blissful views of the ocean from your cabana or terrace. Free from the drone of air-conditioning you can leave the screened windows open and fall asleep to the sound of the sea, safely cocooned in a fine net drape.
The restricted supply of electricity (from 6:00pm to 10:00pm) is a great excuse to enjoy some romantic candlelight, but note that there are no sockets in the rooms so it's not possible to use electrical appliances here.
However the solar powered water heater means that you can enjoy hot showers all day. With these basic comforts covered, guests are free to enjoy an idyllic sun-and-sand vacation that's a real escape from city life.
All the cabanas(except cabana #1) now have small ceiling fans that are powered between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am.
