the beach
This is Playa Acapulquito, one of the prettiest coves in
the area, with a crescent of white sand and a
near-constant procession of powerful waves. It's a
favorite with surfers, who can usually be observed from
dawn to dusk.
The shallow areas are rocky and the ocean is best suited to strong swimmers due to the surf and possible undertow, but it's a great beach for lazing under a sun shade and watching the activity. The safer swimming beach at Palmilla is around half a mile away.
The Cabo Surf hotel offers surfing tuition, including
group instruction for beginners and private lessons too.
The Surf Shop sells a wide selection of boards and
sports gear and also rents equipment.
