Unfortunately, I got sick and had to cancel our one night at the Camino Real Zaashila but was charged for the night anyway. Realise that it was less than 24 hour notice but we even requested that we stay one other night instead of our four nights at the Quinta as an alternative, but it was rejected.

We thought it was a nice place overall. There are a few things that you might like to be aware of:
1) more comfortable beds and a little more upcscale bedding and room decor would make it feel a little more luxurious
2) honeymooners or couples looking for a luxurious place without little kids wouldn't find that here. There were a lot of kids which we didn't mind but thats probably why the bedding isn't more upscale
3) the pool water didn't have that crisp clean look and that along with all the kids in it to be honest I never went in the pool and that was disappointing

The food was good, the staff great, the rooms were clean. We would go back but after taxes etc. we would be better off renting our own house down there and hiring staff to cook the meals. The price did seem a bit high.

Thanks for all your help with the reservation.

Our stay was wonderful and the hotel was great. Our only problem was upon registration when the hotel had no record that our package included buffet breakfast. We had a copy of your e-mail with the details, and though it took a little while, the matter was politely resolved. We had a suite of rooms (including 2 full bathrooms) with a fantastic view of the ocean and it was very quiet. Decoration was a little tacky, I would have prefered a more Mexican style. A note for anyone staying at the hotel: Calling a cab thru the bell captain at the hotel is almost twice as much as the government rate. Often it is a huge van. In the interest of the economy and the environment, we often shared a cab or arranged with a driver we met in town to pick us up. Thank you very much for a great trip. Keep me posted on anything fun and unusual you know of for Mexico next winter.
