the guest rooms
The magic of San Miguel lies in its narrow cobbled
streets lined with stone mansions and colorful colonial
houses. In keeping with its location right in the heart
of the historical center, the Casa de Sierra Nevada
hides a lavish interior behind the simple facades of
typical 16th and 17th century townhouses.
Within these ancient walls lie thirty-seven luxurious rooms and suites, replete with fine furnishings and antiques. Exquisite fabrics with fine embroidery are used in the bedrooms, hand painted Talavera style tiles in the bathrooms. Many rooms have working fireplaces, others boast private terraces with outstanding views over San Miguel's rooftops. All rooms have a king bed.
The design of the accommodations follows the original architecture, and so no two rooms are identical in size and amenities. The categorization of guest quarters into Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites and Suites is difficult to qualify and relates mostly to floor space, however a Junior Suite will generally be one large room with a sitting area, whereas a Suite will generally have a separate sitting room or some other special feature.
Deluxe rooms usually have a terrace or a fireplace, Junior Suites and Suites usually have both. We recommend that you request the features that you would most like to have when making a reservation.
