Playa la Ropa has been labeled one of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico. Its soft sands are easily reached down a steep path from the hotel. The wide bay is backed palm trees and is home to a number of hotels and seafood restaurants.

The sea is generally safe for swimming, though there can be strong undertows. A variety of water sports are available from independent outlets on the beach.
