what to do
At Cuixmala you'll feel miles from the tourist resorts, but there's actually plenty to do here. It's virtually essential to have a rental car, even just to explore the estate, but there's lots to see even in the close vicinity. While you are driving around the estate, look out for the resident herd of Zebra (imported by Sir James Goldsmith) and the serene lagoons. It's possible to rent a silent electric boat to explore the lagoons (but watch out for the crocodiles!)
