At Cuixmala you'll feel miles from the tourist resorts, but there's actually plenty to do here. It's virtually essential to have a rental car, even just to explore the estate, but there's lots to see even in the close vicinity.

While you are driving around the estate, look out for the resident herd of Zebra (imported by Sir James Goldsmith) and the serene lagoons. It's possible to rent a silent electric boat to explore the lagoons (but watch out for the crocodiles!)

Golf	At El Tamarindo, around 45 minute drive from Cuixmala
Polo and Scuba diving	At Careyes, about 15 minutes drive away
Sailing	Day excursions to the Chamela islands
Fishing	Charter a Boston Whaler, 18 feet, for up to 4 people
Sea Turtles	Sea turtles are protected within the property and can be observed usually from July to April.
Tennis	Tennis courts are located on the estate near to Casa Puma
Soccer and basketball	There is soccer pitch and basketball court on the estate
Massages	Massages can be arranged in your villa or casita
Surfing	About 20 minutes south of Cuixmala at Arroyo Seco. Suitable for experienced surfers only (bring your own equipment)
