| I had been to the Mendoza before with my husband, so already knew that it was in a perfect location for seeing Guadalajara's historic center and the fascinating Mercado Libertad. I joined several women this time, who usually stay in Tlaquepaque before going to the Rio Caliente spa near Primavera, our destination for several days. They loved the Mendoza, too. Its stone structure is beautiful, the breakfast is good, the staff are attentive and speak good English when my Spanish isn't quite adequate, and the rooms are comfortable, a good deal for the price. Looking off the balcony of the room across the hotel patio to the age-patinaed dome of the adjoining church transports you to an older, different world.

| We enjoyed our stay. Everything was fine. They expected us, were courteous, and the room was clean. Thanks again for your help.

| We were very impressed with the hotel, it is a beautiful building and very well decorated and furnished. The beds are too firm though. The staff made all the difference, especially Juan and Elvis. They could not do enough to make our stay a pleasure. We looked forward to our breakfast and evening meal.
