Esperanza

casita

The Casitas are arranged in buildings of three or four floors. On the top floor of each building are the Palapa Spa Suites. These feature especially high ceilings that are opened up to the thatched roof, making the accommodations particularly airy. Each Palapa Spa Suite also has an infinity-edged plunge pool with amazing views. These rooms are ideal for honeymooners.

The other Casitas are very similar in amenities and size; the only difference is the location (Beach Front or Ocean View) and level of each unit. Buildings with four floors have an elevator. Those with three floors have stairs only, but the access to the rooms is to the rear of the building at the lower Terrace level, so in the three story buildings you would climb down one flight of stairs to reach the Garden Level and up one flight of stairs to the Palapa Spa Casita.

Some Lower Terrace Casitas have no steps and are suitable for wheelchair access, others have just a few steps.

All the casitas offer views of the ocean, although the views are better from the higher levels and the Garden Level Casitas are slightly less private. The Beach Front Casitas are located in one three story building that is just a few feet from the beach, and these casitas all have wonderful views of the magnificent ocean.

These spacious rooms become spectacular when the full length glazed doors are opened up to merge the interior with the huge terrace beyond. For much of the year it's possible to forget the air-conditioning and to cool the room with the sea breezes and ceiling fan. We also love the super-comfortable beds with pillow-top mattresses and light down duvets, the complimentary soft drinks in the mini-bar and the high speed wireless internet. Each casita is also equipped with satellite TV and DVD player. The casitas are available with either one king or two queen beds.

The large terrace stretches the full length of the casita and features a sitting area where guests can enjoy the wonderful views or maybe take advantage of the room service menu to enjoy snacks or a private dinner. At the far end of the terrace is the hammock. Enjoy a lazy siesta here or watch the changing hues of the ocean. The terraces are mostly shady but do get a little sun throughout the day.

The lavish bathrooms feature his-and-hers showers, side by side with individual controls, and a tub that's made for sharing too. The toilet is in a separate room, and there's also a dressing area and deep closets with robes and slippers plus and iron and board.
