the guest rooms
The Hacienda's 26 suites are housed in a stately two
story building and every suite enjoys far-reaching views
of the estate from full length French windows. The
ground floor suites open onto a stone terrace bordering
rolling lawns, each suite having outdoor seating. The
first floor suites have small balconies, whilst the
Grand Suite Sol and four other suites on this level have
large covered balconies.
New visitors are constantly amazed by the scale of the accommodations - enormous bright and airy bedrooms, with high ceilings and large bathrooms (all with tubs). Lavish drapes adorn every window and the rooms are big enough even to dwarf the capacious armchairs and chaise longues. The furnishings are suitably grand; with heavy mirrors and tapestries adorning the walls and hand-woven carpets partly covering parquet flooring.
The Grand Suites Sol, Volcan and Quetzal have a floorspace of around 1,300 square feet and each has a separate sitting room and bedroom.

Volcan is named after its view of the Volcán de Fuego
and Quetzal also shares this view, whilst Sol is located
on the opposite side of the building with views of the
gardens down to the swimming pool and features a
wonderful veranda.
The standard suites can be arranged in connecting pairs and two suites each have two matrimonial beds, so families can be accommodated in comfort.
Air-conditioning isn't necessary at this elevation and the interiors remain cool and airy even when the sun is at its strongest. The evenings can be cool (bring a sweater or jacket, particularly in winter) but every room has a working fireplace.
There are no televisions in the guest rooms, but TVs and comfortable seating are available in the Library and the Mirador room. Large in-room safes (big enough to hold a lap-top computer) and hairdryers are provided in every room.
