These rustic but luxurious suites are totally unique in Mexico and are our favorite choice for a vacation with a difference. Where else can you sleep directly above the water, with your own rowing boat moored alongside your terrace, yet hear and see the huge Pacific rollers on the horizon? Or sleep at night in a four poster bed dressed in the finest hand embroidered cotton and wake to an expansive view of sea and sky?

The three Palafito Master Suites are the most sought after accommodations and early reservations are strongly recommended for these unique quarters.

Each is an independent unit with unobstructed views and very private terraces. A small flight of stairs leads down from these suites' rear entrance to the Hotelito grounds, where paths weave amongst tropical gardens. The front access is exclusively by boat.

el pajaro

The three master palafito suites are set apart in the lush gardens of the Hotelito. El Pajaro, closest to the restaurant but very secluded, enjoys distant views of the Nopalito section across the estuary. The spacious interior boasts a king size bed and a large bathroom and dressing room with outdoor shower facing the sea.

El Pajaro's terrace features a large hammock suspended from the palapa roof. Steps lead down from the terrace to a small jetty where your private transportation awaits - one of the fleet of colored rowing boats.

La Pera

This beautiful and romantic suite is perched on the edge of the estuary. Two sets of double doors can open up the front of the palafito almost completely to face the ocean. The views are amazing.

In common with all the Palafito Suites, la Pera features a large bathroom and dressing area, complete with outdoor shower facing the ocean. The secluded terrace is partly shaded and is furnished with a hammock.

El Venado

El Venado is the third Master Palafito Suite. The last to be reached from the main pathway, it has far reaching views.

The delightfully quirky furnishings, which have been individually purchased by the Italian designer who created the resort, lend to each room a unique character. The canopied bed cocoons guests at night, so that it is safe to leave windows open to catch the cool breezes. The sound of the ocean can be heard in the distance.

The huge terrace is directly above the water and has breathtaking views. It's furnished with a large hammock and chairs.
