The five Palafito Suites are spacious quarters with unique features and special characteristics.

Four of the Palafito Suites have terraces overlooking the tranquil waters of the estuary. La Escalera has a duplex arrangement, with two king size beds (one upstairs and one downstairs). One palafito suite is located on the beach and has an outdoor living area in place of a terrace.

El Pino

El Pino is a large suite built on stilts above the estuary, and boasts a magnificent terrace facing across to the beach. Two sets of double doors open from the bedroom to reveal the watery view. From the terrace it is possible to watch the rowing boats ferry guests across the estuary, and your own boat can be moored outside the entrance.

This suite is adjacent to la Chalupa and is only a few hundred yards from the jetty and main restaurant.

La Chalupa

La Chalupa features a large and shady terrace that is virtually an outdoor living room. A large hammock is suspended close to the water's edge, positioned to catch the sea breezes. This secluded spot, with its serene outlook across the estuary, is perfect for lazy siestas.

This suite also boasts a remarkable bed and some beautiful paintings that are constant reminders of Mexico's colorful history.

La Maceta

La Maceta is an individual palafito located close to the main restaurant. It is very spacious - almost as large as the Master Palafito Suites - and is the only regular suite that stands alone.

It has views over the estuary to the front and the water meadows of the nature reserve to the rear.

La Escalera

La Escalera is a delightful palafito suite arranged over two floors, with a king size bed on each level. Both bedrooms have double doors opening onto a terrace that overlooks the nature reserve. The views are striking, especially in the early morning as the mist rises over the water.

The palafito has one bathroom with an outdoor shower on the lower level. Upstairs, the sloping thatched eaves clearly illustrate the traditional methods of construction used in the hotel and the rough walls seem an unlikely backdrop for the framed paintings.

This palafito is suitable for triple or quadruple occupancy.

Nopalito 12

The newest Suite is directly on the beach. Nopalito 12 has a shady outdoor living room just yards from the sea, including a large day bed and dining area. At night, the pounding of the waves lulls guests to sleep in the palapa roofed bedroom.

The Nopalito section of the resort is a short boat ride away from the main restaurant. It's the perfect place for moonlit strolls along the deserted beaches - city dwellers will hardly believe the true brilliance of the night sky in this remote paradise.
