It's a difficult choice, but each type of palafito has its own special and unique features:

standard palafitos

Standard Palafitos are housed in units of two or more and have wonderfully soothing views over the estuary and the gardens. They are located on the "mainland" and you can walk to the restaurant for dinner. In the daytime, take a short boat ride across to the beach and pool.

beach palafitos

Beach Palafitos are snuggled in the sand dunes across the estuary, right on the beach and surrounded by cacti of all shapes and sizes. You can be first to the pool in the morning, but you'll need to take a boat across the waters for breakfast and dinner. Beach palafitos have one king bed or one or two queen beds.

palafito suites

All bar one of the Palafito Suites are built close to or over the estuary waters in the main section of the hotel (the other is located on the beach and has a delightful outdoor living area).

One has two king beds in a duplex arrangement and all have terraces with far reaching views. These rooms have individual character and are very spacious.

master palafito suites

The glorious Master Palafito Suites stand directly over the estuary waters and face the ocean. Your very own rowing boat will be anchored by your front door. Open the wide double doors and the whole room is exposed to the sea breezes - the views across to the beach are incredible.

The back door takes you back to solid ground via a few steps, and you can walk to dinner if you don't want to take the boat.

There are only 3 such palafitos at the resort and they are much in demand - we strongly recommend early reservations to secure your choice of room type.
