the guest rooms

The guest rooms at La Via Laktea are all very large and feature a delightful central king bed. Each room has a small seating area and a writing desk for those all important postcards home. Screened windows and ceiling fans in the ground floor rooms help to keep the rooms comfortable in hotter weather.

Six of the eight rooms at the hotel are ocean view and the remaining two have views over the lush jungle. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a minimalist style and have lovely touches like the stylish bedside lamps and ornamental artwork. The rooms have electricity but this is limited to 5:00pm - midnight each day. Each room has a large terrace or balcony facing the sea. complete with table, chairs and hammock.

The upper level Ocean Front rooms are highly sought after for their privacy and views. Please note though that these rooms are accessed by steep steps that can be difficult to navigate by guests with any mobility limitations, and care must be taken using these steps after dark.

bathroom

Each room has a pretty bathroom complete with traditionally tiled bath tub and shower. The vanity unit is found in the bedroom behind the bed and storage area.
