La Zebra is a wonderful little hotel located on a wide stretch of breath-takingly beautiful white beach.

There is a clever mix of accommodation, from traditional individual beach cabanas with brightly colored adobe walls and palapa roofs to the modern Jungle Rooms and ultra-luxurious new Beach Shack with its sleek design.

All of the rooms have stylish interiors which include fine bed linens, romantic mosquito netting, beach bag and towels and welcome tequila. Each morning a basket is delivered to your door with a flask of coffee and orange juice that can be enjoyed on your terrace as you watch the morning activity on the beach.

The Cantina is a great place to meet up and is right on the edge of the beach. The menu has a distinctively Mexican focus with lots of local specialities and traditional favorites. On Sundays enjoy a roast from the outdoor brick lined barbeque pit; we enjoyed lamb slow-cooked in banana leaves.

La Zebra is located towards the southern end of the Tulum 'hotel zone'; it's a quieter area but there are still lots of other small restaurants and bars that you can walk to along the beach.

The hotel welcomes children and the larger rooms are ideal for families. There is a small play area for kids on the beach with climbing frames and a swing.
