Jade Beach is just south of Akumal Bay. It's a quiet and fairly remote beach as there are few hotels in this area; it feels very tranquil and very natural.

There is coral in the shallower water which makes this a great spot for snokeling, and there's plenty to see just off the beach (you might even be lucky enough to swim with the turtles as it's a popular nesting ground for Loggerhead and Green turtles).

These amazing creatures can be seen almost nightly from April thru November and, unlike the more touristy areas, the nests are left in situ, marked out with sticks and string.

There is a sandy access into the water about a hundred yards south of the hotel, while the beach itself makes for a wonderful, leisurely walk.

The hotel has snorkeling equipment and kayaks available for guests to use, plus beach beds and parasols on the edge of the beach for those who just want to relax.
