All the suites are immaculately furnished and decorated, and most have direct ocean views from their large shady terraces. They also have fully equipped kitchens which include fridge-freezer, microwave and oven and hob (grocery stores can be found nearby at Akumal which is just half a mile away).
The villas are located on a beautiful stretch of pristine white sand, and the coral in the the shallows here makes for very good snorkeling right off the beach. There are also sandy accesses into the sea for those who just want to swim. This beautiful beach isn't just a favorite for visitors; it's also a popular nesting ground for Green and Loggerhead turtles from April thru November.
The resort has a lovely beachfront swimming pool with a section specially for children. Snorkeling equipment and kayaks are available; you might even be lucky enough to snorkel with the turtles!
There's also a good restaurant which opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus service around the pool during the day. At nearby Akumal and Bahia Principe there are also a selection of restaurants.
Villas Akumal also has a full day spa offering a range of body and facial treatments
