Beautifully presented dishes and innovative menus surprise and delight visitors to this secluded paradise. We reckon it is worth a visit here for the food alone, and we're not surprised to hear that many restaurateurs from fine establishments in Puerto Vallarta choose to escape to Majahuitas for weekend breaks.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included in the nightly rates at the resort, and the restaurant caters exclusively for hotel guests.

Breakfast and lunch are served on the patio areas by the beach, where individual tables are shaded by blue umbrellas. To start the day, fresh fruits and juices, eggs American or Mexican style, bacon or sausages, granola, toast and jam are on offer from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday a special brunch buffet features eggs, pancakes, French toast, toast, jams and jellies.

Guests are tempted back to the tables at lunchtime for such delights as empanadas filled with tuna or red snapper, chimichangas, shrimp cocktails, fresh fish and ceviches, rice and pasta salads.

Blissful evenings at Majahuitas begin with cocktails on the beach at sunset and lead to romantic three course dinners illuminated by candlelight. Guests can choose intimate tables on the patios, watching the moonlight dance on the water and feeling the fresh sea breezes. Others may choose to mingle with their fellow guests around a lively communal table, discussing the day's activities. (Majahuitas is a great place for parties of friends or families traveling together as there is plenty of space for groups to get together, yet ample opportunities for privacy.)

A mouthwatering menu is posted on a chalkboard every day - for examples of dishes see our sample menu below. Chilean producers are favored in the resort's wine list and a wide choice of imported liqueurs and spirits are also available. Note that vegetarians can be very well catered for (please advised of any dietary restrictions when booking).

As the meal ends, the staff may prepare a bonfire on the beach. Then guests linger under the stars until late in the night, full of the pleasures of this enchanting resort.
