Dining in the Hotel Majestic's rooftop restaurant is an experience not to be missed. Tables lining the terrace have perfect views over the whole of the Zocalo, reputed to be the second largest public square in the world. It's a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike, with lunchtimes particularly busy.

Breakfast here is a delight - arrive early for your choice of table (the restaurant opens at 7:00am) and you can watch the morning activity below. The buffet breakfast is highly recommended and includes a wide choice of hot dishes with fresh fruit and juices, yoghurts and rolls for around 115 pesos (US$12). Coffee is good and juices are freshly squeezed.

The restaurant serves fine International and Mexican cuisine with surprisingly reasonable prices. Tables are also available indoors and there's a cozy bar with views over the city too. Check out the photographs documenting the history of the hotel in the lobby outside.
