A visit to Patzcuaro isn't complete unless you try some of the wonderful regional specialties at a good restaurant, and the Mansion Iturbe has to be one of the best places in town to choose.

There are two places to dine at the hotel - the Cafe Dona Paca and El Viejo Gaucho. 

At Dona Paca's you can enjoy traditional Michoacan specialites and Purepecha dishes, such as Churipo- a rich beef stew served with corundas - and fish served in Dona Paca's traditional white sauce.

El Viejo Gaucho is only open in the evening and offers an unusual mix of Argentinian steaks, pizzas and lighter dishes that you can feast on whilst listening to live music.
