There are now three restaurants to choose from at Maroma. El Restaurante, the original restaurant, has been complimented by El Sol and the spa restaurant, Cilantro.

El Restaurante offers casual elegance with its white stucco walls, tiled floors and crisp white linen. The dining room is cool and airy in the daytime and ambient and romantic in the evenings. We particularly like the tables on the outdoor terrace in the evenings for a special romantic dinner.

The service, as you would expect, is impeccable - yet also friendly and even entertaining. If there isn't someone playing the piano, you may just hear the music of the waves just beyond the patio. You will certainly feel relaxed from the moment you enter until you retreat to your quarters.

The menu combines fresh local produce with modern style and exquisite presentation. Seafood, particularly lobster, features in the appetizers and main courses. At the end of your meal we highly recommend the Flaming Mexican coffee prepared at your table - a delight for the eyes as well as the taste buds!

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the evenings gentlemen are required to wear slacks and a collared shirt.

You may well choose to take your breakfast on the patio between the restaurant and the beach, sheltered from the morning sun by the palm trees yet cooled by the breeze.

For lunch, you're also welcome to eat by the pool or in some other shady corner. But for dinner, make an occasion of it - cocktails on the terrace from sunset, then crystal and linen, candlelight and piano music, and a lingering four or five courses before that final romantic stroll on the silvery moonlit sand...
