the guest rooms

Maroma's 65 guest rooms and suites are all close to the beach but none rise higher than a palm, so from the ocean only a few glimpses of white stucco and palapa can be seen. Consequently the lush gardens and beautifully maintained white walls are a surprise that unfolds almost miraculously to the first time guest; only to be surpassed by the warmest welcome on the Caribbean.

Maroma's popularity with repeat clients means that availability can be hard to find in the peak winter months. The stunning new One Bedroom Suites are certain to be highly requested - they feature a specially designated area for spa treatments, plunge pool and fitness area with cardiovascular equipment, free weights and a plasma TV.

The Master Suites offer an abundance of space with a separate living room and bedroom, and beautiful unobstructed ocean views.  Junior Suites are slightly larger than the guest rooms with a combined bedroom/sitting room and also have fantastic ocean views.

Garden Rooms are generally on the ground floor and some can be darkened by foliage, whilst others have large balconies overlooking the swimming pool. A few have partial or oblique views of the Caribbean through the palms in the grounds.

Our favorite Ocean View Rooms have prime positions and some of the best unobstructed views of the coast from their large balconies or terraces.

Note that most but not all of the guest rooms have the trademark round tub or sunken bath and all of the rooms now have CD players.

Telephones (not direct dial) are available in the guest rooms but the network is cellular and calls can be expensive. Maroma has a library/TV room and also a theater where movies are shown, but the majority of guest rooms do not include TVs - this is a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the real world, and truly relax.
