our opinion
We love the property's Ocean Front Junior Suites for their magnificent views and well appointed interiors - Jacuzzi bathtubs, luxury bed linens and CD players are standard here - while the Casitas are our top choice for families.
The latter have private plunge pools and are close to the ocean. They also feature kitchenettes and sitting rooms. Request a second floor casita for the large roof terrace and great views or go for the ground floor option if you prefer to have easy access to the pools.
Honeymooners may prefer the Marquis Suites which have similar amenities, including plunge pools, but may be a little more private.
In contrast to the starkness of the desert coastline, the hotel's gardens are richly colored and very appealing.
Excellent fishing and golf facilities are nearby (including at least four championship courses) and the Marquis has a good spa with a well equipped fitness center.
In summary, the Marquis Los Cabos has excellent facilities and many of the features of the most expensive properties in this region, but without the hefty price tag.
That the hotel has been awarded numerous awards, including membership of the prestigious Leading hotels of the World group, is no surprise, and we reckon it offers some of the best value luxury rooms on the Corridor.
