the guest rooms
There are just 26 rooms and suites arranged around two
pretty courtyards. The Standard Rooms have views
over the second courtyard and swimming pool; the
Special Rooms are in the first courtyard which
houses the hotel's small restaurant and lobby.
The hotel is a few blocks from the center of town and enjoys a fairly quiet spot. All of the rooms are interior facing which means they are very tranquil which makes a great contrast to the hustle and bustle of Merida.
The rooms have been thoughtfully decorated and furnished and reflect the era of this lovely 17th century building. Religious paintings and artifacts adorn the rooms reflecting the history of the hotel. They offer real charm and character which can sometime be hard to find in a city hotel.
Although the rooms have an historical appearance, they do have many modern amenities which include air-conditioning, an absolute must in Merida, televisions and hairdyers.
