Ferry

We recommend that you use the public ferry service from Puerto Juarez near Cancun. Upon arrival on the island, take a taxi from the port (the taxi stand is just by the jetty) to the hotel. All the taxi drivers know the location of Na Balam which is on Playa Norte.

The ferry trip takes about 40 minutes and the total journey time from the airport to the hotel is about 1 hour to 90 minutes depending upon connections (ferries operate every 30 minutes during the day until 8:00pm).

Driving directions

We recommend that you leave vehicles in Cancun, but you can bring a car on the Car Ferry from Punta Sam. There are few roads on the island and the hotel is within easy walking distance of both the town and Playa Norte, so you really don't need a car here.

Parking is available on the street outside the hotel.
