Whale Watching Tours Grey whales may be spotted along the coastline between January and March. Take an enjoyable local tour to search for whales out in the ocean, maybe spouting or breaching. For the best chances of close up encounters, it is recommended to visit Magdalena Bay and day tours by air with Aerocalafia can be arranged. The cost of the tour by air is around 400 USD per person but close sightings are abundant here and many people on this tour have been able to actually touch the whales.
