| Very lovely place, convenient and quiet. Food on the island is easy to access and wonderful. R. Johnson, Colorado, United States

| Overall, we were disappointed in the hotel. As mentioned in your review of Media Luna, it is a wonderful location and the design of the property is nice. However, I think the management has a lack of attention to detail. The pool was dirty the day we arrived and it deteriorated daily until they finally had to close the pool. They did not do daily maintenance/cleaning of the pool and after several days I mentioned to the front desk person that the pool was dirty. The water was quite cloudy with a lot of sand on the bottom and hair/dirt on the surface. I took it upon myself to skim the surface as did at least one other guest at the hotel. The front desk person was responsive and they vacuumed the pool after I mentioned how dirty it was. He said that he was glad that I mentioned to him it was dirty, otherwise they have no other way of knowing. I think that if they did a visual inspection of the pool and property, they would have noticed how dirty it was. In the long run, the pump went out and the pool water was green when they finally decided to take action. Management never apologized or said a word about the pool to us. Also they did not maintain the beach or pool area very well. They never raked the beach in front of the hotel and they left garbage bins around the pool to overflow. Also, food wrappers, scraps of food, cigarette butts and bottle caps were left to lay on poolside tables for days on end. The cleanliness of the room was acceptable, but stairs and lobby were a bit on the dirty side. Breakfast was mediocre. The staff were helpful when approached, but they didn't necessarily go out of their way. We think the hotel has potential with its beautiful location and large balconies. But based on our experience, we would not go back again. Name and address withheld

| I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Playa la Media Luna in Mexico and recommended it to several people in Cancun where I stayed afterwards for a conference. This may be an oversight on my part, but I wasn't aware that there was not any bottled water for sale, or a bar or soda machine at the place. We did go to the hotel next door and purchased those things. I was not aware that you could not swim in the ocean because it was a little rocky. But besides that, I thought it was lovely - almost "zen" like. Very quite, comfortable, a great view and within walking distance to town.
