From the airport
We recommend that you use the public ferry service from Puerto Juarez near Cancun (see "Getting to Isla Mujeres"). Upon arrival on the island, take a taxi from the port (the taxi stand is just by the jetty) to the hotel. All the taxi drivers know the location of hotel Playa la Media Luna or Half Moon beach.
The ferry trip takes about 40 minutes and the total journey time from the airport to the hotel is about 1 hour to 90 minutes depending upon connections (ferries operate every 30 minutes during until 8pm).
