A wide sandy beach stretches around Tangolunda Bay. The Quinta Real is at the southern end of the bay, adjacent to the lush greens of the Huatulco golf club.

The horseshoe shaped bay offers generally safe bathing conditions, but watch for the warning flags that indicate any possible danger.

A row of palapa shades provides refuge from the sun and staff will gladly set sun loungers for you here. If you just want to snooze in the shade, you can sling a hammock here too.

The sandy bottom of the ocean shelves quite steeply, not ideal for young children but great for a refreshing swim.
