We enjoyed our stay very much.  The setting is very charming and the facility is very comfortable.  We’ll be back someday!

Rancho Leonero was disappointing, however. The food was poor and to get service we had to go up to people more than once and then still felt as though we were pestering them. We felt invisible. The area and country side was gorgeous but it felt as though the grounds were unkept and starting to suffer. The night we got there, we were not given a room key and were told that everything was safe and not to worry, so the entire time we were there we had to leave our room open. The receptionist was very sweet and kind but many of those in the food and bar area were indifferent and not very friendly. We ended up leaving a day early and stayed in a place closer to the airport that turned out very nice so the trip ended great and all in all, it was a marvelous vacation!  I thank you for all your help!  The memories are wonderful!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the receptionists spoke very well English. We also got a free upgrade after a few nights as there were many larger units available after New Year. This was greatly appreciated! The only disappointing aspect was food. Fish wasn't served at all during dinners. The Sea of Cortez was too stormy for small fishing boats to go out, but I would have hoped that the restaurant had bought fish from professional fishermen instead of serving American style food such as chicken, ribs etc. Also, while all the surroundings were tradional and beautiful, it was shocking to have styrofoam coffee cups and plastic water cups in the restaurant. Real coffee mugs would make a big difference in the overall experience. All in all our stay was very pleasant and I can recommend Rancho Leonero if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday.   Note: please share the comment on real coffee mugs and glasses with the hotel!
