A wonderful evening haunt at the Royal Hideaway is the cozy "Piano Bar" Alegria.

There's often a mock casino inside with professional-looking croupiers and roulette tables. The stakes aren't for real, but the effect is convincing and very entertaining.

Tables spill out onto the terrace and under the trees decked with fairy lights, an enchanting setting on the usually balmy evenings. Smartly dressed waiters attend the tables inside and out, and most guests like to dress elegantly for the occasion.

An alternative venue is the Havana Cigar Lounge adjacent to the Ventanas restaurant. These elegant surroundings are enhanced by live piano music on many evenings.

The Cigar bar is open until 11:00pm and the Alegria bar until 1:00am.
