dining
Meals really are a highlight of a visit to the Royal Hideaway, and the only buffet in sight is the optional breakfast buffet at Spices (but you can choose the a la carte breakfast at Las Ventanas every day if you prefer).
At Azia, the delicate flavors of Thai cuisine are beautifully presented in light, fragrant recipes that won't leave you too heavy for a midnight swim.
Palazzo has an opulent style and a good selection of traditional Italian fare. Mexican cuisine is represented in the beachside Spices restaurant, the most relaxed of the four but still with the same dress code of long pants and shirts with collars for men and "casual elegance" for women.
The restaurant The Grill is located by the beach and serves Mediterranean cuisine al fresco with views of the sparkling Caribbean.
During the daytime, the Beach Club offers a range of snacks, salads and pizzas which can be served at your beach lounger. For a more formal lunch, the Spices restaurant offers an a la carte service in air-conditioned comfort.
And of course a special room service menu is available 24 hours a day.
Please let us know your preferred restaurant and we'll be delighted to make the arrangements. Note that some restaurants close one day a week with a schedule that changes, so a second choice is advisable
Whilst you are at the resort, your concierge will be delighted to reserve your choice of restaurants for the rest of your vacation - it's recommended to book at least one day in advance.
The dress code for dining at the hotel is casually elegant - no beach wear, tank tops or bare feet are allowed in the restaurants. Gentlemen are required to wear long trousers, a shirt with collar and closed toe shoes in all restaurants in the evening.
