The Royal Hideaway's lavish Duplex Suites are our favorite accommodations at the resort, particularly for their wonderful balconies and terraces.

They have a two story arrangement, with a living area downstairs and a romantic bedroom upstairs.

These suites have all the features of the Luxury rooms, plus lots more space, and all the duplex suites enjoy ocean views.

For honeymooners wanting to spend some quality time alone together, we think these suites are well worth the supplement.

The lower floor of the Suite features a sitting room with a spacious dining area.

Both this room and the bedroom upstairs have a TV with DVD player, so it's no problem if one partner would like to watch a movie while the other sleeps.

There's also a half bathroom downstairs.

The Duplex Suite has two terraces. A large terrace is accessed from the bedroom and is furnished with two sun loungers and a dining area. This is a fabulous feature, offering private and indulgent outdoor living space that's ideal for enjoying the wonderful Caribbean climate. The second of the two balconies includes a beautiful Yucatecan hammock that's ideal for shady siestas.

Catch the sun's rays as soon as you wake in the morning, or relax with pre-dinner drinks and snacks at sunset - this is what makes a perfect vacation!
