the beach
The Tamarindo's secluded cove is a beach lover's dream.
Backed by tropical rainforest (the resort can hardly be
seen from the water) the golden sands stretch out in an
arc that's long enough for a pleasant sunset stroll.
The blue green ocean entices swimmers for a refreshing dip, and the rocky areas at the far extremes of the cove provide interest for snorkelers.
Windsurfs, kayaks and aquafin sailboats are available at
the resort for guests' use.
To explore the coastline, we recommend renting one of the golf buggies for around US$30 a day (mountain bikes are also available for the more energetic).
The forest trails and miles of winding roads on the Tamarindo estate reveal more secluded beaches and pretty coves, including Playas Dorado and Majahua.
