| We absolutely loved Mexico - the country, the places we visited and the people were all wonderful. Villa del Sol - wow! It really has everything - location, design, service, choice, ambience. We felt absolutely no need to venture outside the hotel, which is very unusual for us as the thought of a holiday staying and eating in one place is probably our worst nightmare! They cleverly put special evenings on at one of the two restaurants, so you can avoid them if you want to and we spent most evenings eating at the bar, where you can choose from both restaurant menus and also their own bar menu. The level of service is also exactly right - the staff are friendly, helpful and observant but it never seems fawning or overdone. We spent a great evening releasing baby turtles into the sea and a couple of nights later their security people took us to where a turtle was laying her eggs further along the beach (under their watchful eye!) Did you know they are part of a turtle protection programme? I think this is less of an event for visitors from the southern states of the US, as I think they have turtles there, but coming from England that was a really amazing thing to see. I don't know if we were lucky but every place we visited was delightful, and all in very different ways. We don't tend to want to do a lot; we usually just like to walk around, look at the architecture, absorb the atmosphere, stay somewhere lovely and eat good food. Mexico delighted us in every way and we will definitely go back. And even the driving wasn't that bad! I think we would happily call this our best holiday so far! J. King, United Kingdom

| We really enjoyed the hotel. Everything was up to par. I did find the food rather expensive at the hotel. We did not do a meal plan, since we didn't know what we wanted to do each day. Even eating in town, I found rather pricey. We even indulged in getting a couple of spa treatments which were superb. I would definitely recommend the hotel. I would suggest to take a cab from the airport to the hotel. The hotel charges double the fares, which I find unacceptable since they make a nice profit from the cab companies.
