the pool
A mock aqueduct spills a fountain of water into the main
(original) swimming pool and creates a popular spot for
cooling off in the midday heat. Another favorite hideout
is the swim-up bar (try one of the delicious freshly
squeezed fruit juices - we can recommend the papaya).
Most of this pool's surface and the surrounding terraces are shaded by tall palm trees and tropical foliage, so it's a nice place to retreat to when the sun climbs in the sky. There are four other pools at the Tides Zihuatanejo, so there's always plenty of space for everyone.

A second pool lies adjacent to the beach and within
sight of the ocean, near to La Cantina bar and
restaurant. There's also a small pool by La Barca
(formerly Orlando's bar) in the middle of the resort.
There are two more pools (including a children's pool) by the tennis courts. The adults' pool here is ideal for lap swimming and is usually very quiet. It's 60 feet long and ideal for the serious swimmer.
