| We had a great time! It was obvious that they were still in recovery mode from the hurricane but everyone was quite marvelous. The staff was friendly and efficient, the owner gregarious and informative and the bungalows were comfortable. The restaurant occassionaly ran out of things but the staff was so courteous and helpful that we didn't mind. As you noted on the web page, the cooking is superb. The beach was unbelievable. We recommend the boat tour unreservably for any bird watchers! I have absolutely no complaints other than that the grounds were a little buggy. My ten year old son had a great time and didn't want to leave.

| We came back on Friday and are now trying to deal with the shock of returning to the real world. Holbox and Delfines were wonderful. We really really enjoyed it, and are thinking of going back next year. It is a tranquil, bucolic, beautiful place. The beach is incredible with warm waters, and few people. Local food is mostly fresh fish and seafood caught by local fishermen... delicious. Of course, this also means that you have to avoid the beef. The hotel is awesome for ecologically conscious folks who want rest and not night life. The staff were really nice and helpful, and even the owner came by to see how things were. The thing we liked the most is that it was one of the most child friendly places we have been to. This is no mean thing, considering that we have a one and a three year old. The hotel manager is a fine chef, you should get him to prepare a lobster tail dinner for you... finger licking good. The discordant note was the inordinate amount of mosquitoes on the island, but locals explained that it was a result of the hurricane and that they were just now fumigating once more. Anyway, I would recommend to anyone going there over the next two or three months to take a lot of Off repelent, and to buy Menen baby oil (it stops sand fleas from biting). Last but not least, thanks to you folks for helping us have a great vacation.

| Loved it and would go back in a heartbeat. We were at first a little depressed when we saw the poverty of the village and the hurricane damage, but soon realized everyone has a smile on their face and seems very happy with what they have; the children are absolutely beautiful and so photogenic; I could do an exhibit just on my kid shots. And the colors in the village are incredible! The food was wonderful, Dieter at Delfines was a fantastic chef, we also had great meals at Zapata and the pizza place!
