Las Brisas WE LIKE: Unique and legendary resort, casitas with private pools at amazing prices This prestigious 'pink and white paradise' with its secluded casitas and 250 swimming pools is bigger than most of our other Mexican recommendations, but the privacy and indulgence of the accommodations make it one of our favorite choices in Acapulco. The excellent service and personal attention are more typical of a small and intimate resort, and you won't find crowds here even in high season. Romantics and honeymooners will revel in the seclusion of their casitas and we'd particularly recommend the Private Pool or Brisas Beach Club casitas for those who seek real privacy. |

Quinta Real Acapulco WE LIKE: Ocean view rooms; great restaurant; beachfront location Perched on a bluff above Diamante beach, this is one of the most intimate and stylish hotels in Acapulco. The sumptuously furnished suites are decorated in the group's signature neutral tones and feature lavish bathrooms, many with Jacuzzi tubs. All rooms are ocean view and have at least a step-out balcony. Choose the magnificent Governor Suites if you'd like a large terrace and plunge pool too. This hotel is perfectly placed for guests to take advantage of all that Acapulco has to offer and yet has a delightfully tranquil and exclusive ambiance. |

Hacienda de los Santos WE LIKE: Beautiful property with stunning gardens, great restaurant This tranquil and indulgent hideaway is one of our favorite locations for a weekend escape with a loved one. It has all the ingredients for a perfect getaway - sumptuous rooms with wood burning fireplaces, cozy terraces and an exquisite and very romantic restaurant. Alamos itself is a colonial town of great character with a history of silver mining, revolution and ghosts. There are a number of colorful fiestas and plenty of natural and cultural attractions - excursions available include river trips to Mayo Indian villages, bird watching and tropical forest tours. The proximity to the incredible Copper Canyon, home to one of the world's most scenic railroad journeys, also makes the Hacienda an obvious choice for a vacation combining sightseeing and pampering. |

Campeche Hotels | ||

Hacienda Puerta Campeche WE LIKE: Small intimate feel; superb pool; excellent seafood menu Located in Campeche this 17th century hacienda has been carefully and sympathetically restored to its former glory. Many of the hacienda's original features are still evident, from its thick stone walls to the beautifully tiled floors. With just 16 rooms, the hotel feels small and intimate, more like a grand home than a hotel. With every luxury to pamper guests, from its excellent restaurant to the unique swimming pool, it's a great place relax and unwind. The decor and furnishing of the guest rooms is elegant and lavish, reflecting the opulence and style of the hacienda's heyday. |

Hacienda Uayamon WE LIKE: Good base for sightseeing; spectacular pool; charming rooms; The majority of Uayamon's twelve rooms are individual houses on a tree-lined road, originally built for the elite of the hacienda staff in the 19th century. Each Colonial Villa has a spacious air-conditioned bedroom with writing desk and satellite TV, a large bathroom and a terrace overlooking the jungle gardens. High beamed ceilings and mahogany furniture echo the opulence of the hacienda's apogee. |

Tapestries, working fireplaces, hand woven rugs and cozy armchairs are featured in the spacious guest rooms. This is a place for relaxation and appreciation of the spectacular natural beauty of the surroundings - guests can sunbathe by the swimming pool and admire the snow-capped peaks of the two volcanoes in the distance. Casitas de las Flores WE LIKE: Colorful and charming casitas, ideal for romantics and also for families, secluded location yet with facilities nearby A village of brightly painted one and two bedroom casitas, all with ocean views from their spacious terraces, perched above the beautiful Playa Rosa beach. Many of the casitas have splash pools or oversized Jacuzzis on their terraces. Each has a fully equipped kitchen and daily maid service is included in the rates. Full concierge service is available and babysitters can be arranged, so the casitas will appeal to both honeymooners and families alike. The casitas are adjacent to the Careyes Hotel and Spa and the closest airports are Manzanillo (about 90 minutes away) and Puerto Vallarta (2 hours 30 minutes away). This is an area of outstanding natural beauty, with palm-fringed beaches and glorious sunsets. |

Cuixmala Villas WE LIKE: Incredibly private, secluded and with amazing views. Good accomodations for families. This spectacularly secluded resort lies in an estate covering 25,000 acres and includes the ecologically important Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve. Cuixmala was once the private hideaway of Sir James Goldsmith, and is still owned and managed by the Goldsmith family. Four fabulous fully-staffed villas are here, including La Loma, Goldsmith's former residence. The villas each have their own stunning swimming pool and feature huge verandas, lavish indoor and outdoor living spaces and breathtaking views. There are several beaches on the estate, horseback riding can be arranged at the well equipped stables, and there's even a soccer pitch on site.

Hacienda Jalisco WE LIKE: Fascinating hacienda lit by oil lamps and with log fires in the bedrooms, exhilarating drive from Puerto Vallarta, pleasant climate even in the height of summer Add some adventure to your vacation with a stay at this incredible hacienda hotel! A breathtaking drive of less than two hours (30 miles) from Vallarta takes you up through the hills to the old mining town of San Sebastian del Oeste. The hacienda lies just outside San Sebastian and is surrounded by fields and gardens (almost all the fruits and vegetables served at the hacienda are grown organically on the estate). There's no electricity here, so the hacienda is lit by oil lamps and each of the three guest rooms has a log fire. It's not a luxury property - the rooms have a faded grandeur enhanced by wonderful views of bougainvillea, antique furniture, huge bathrooms and big fluffy towels - but staying just one night here will add a new dimension to your vacation and leave you with lasting memories. We recommend driving, but transfers from Puerto Vallarta are available at reasonable prices too.

Tamarindo WE LIKE: Luxurious but tropical villas, private plunge pools, spectular setting This secluded resort is a perfect blend of rusticity, romance and sheer indulgence. The Tamarindo is set in two thousand acres of rainforest; an area of breathtaking natural beauty where wooded ravines meet the palm fringed Pacific shores. The attractions include one of the most spectacular golf courses in the country, several secluded beaches and an enticing clear blue sea. With such inspiring surroundings the last place guests will want to spend time is in their room. In response, the Tamarindo's villas offer a rare treat of expansive, private and sublimely comfortable outdoor living spaces - huge palapa topped verandahs opening out from stylish interiors and just steps away from a private plunge pool or Jacuzzi. Some villas have ocean views, others are hidden amongst dense pine groves higher up the hillside. Although tropical in appearance, the villas include all modern amenities, including air-conditioning, refrigerators, direct dial telephone and oversized bathrooms. |

Bahia de la Luna WE LIKE: Beautiful bay for swimming, secluded location, good food and a warm welcome - simple pleasures at affordable prices The thatched roof casitas of the Bahia de la Luna hotel are nestled around a beautiful bay that has one of the best swimming beaches in the area. The accommodations may be simple, but the location is stunning; it is incredibly private and secluded and yet only a short drive to the nearest town. You may share the pristine bay with sea turtles, manta rays, dophins or even whales, whilst a rich variety of birds and wildlife inhabit the hills behind the beach. The casitas have either one or two bedrooms and work well for families. They have electricity, good ceiling fans and nice bathrooms with showers (though the water in the showers is not heated). All meals are served in the delightful beachfront restaurant, where fresh fish and seafood are specialties and the prices are very reasonable for such beautifully prepared dishes. Lunch is offered a la carte and the three course set dinner menu changes daily, but dietary restrictions can be catered for. Highly recommended as a barefoot and get-away-from-it-all adventure! |

Punta Placer WE LIKE: Chic cabanas on a beautiful beach, very good restaurant, convenient location in town, amazing value We fell in love with this super stylish but affordable cabana hotel in laid back San Agustinillo . The thatched roof buildings look tropically rustic from the outside, but the interiors are strkingly modern, with lots of sleek curves and glamorous bathrooms. Powerful ceiling fans keep the rooms cool, and cold drinks are on hand in the mini-fridge. There are just eight rooms here and each is just steps from the ocean and has a private terrace or balcony. It's such a romantic, simple little hotel that we recommend it mostly for couples; but some rooms have a sofa bed and children would love the proximity to the beach. |
|

Un Sueno WE LIKE: Artistic yet primitive cabanas directly on the beach, low key and relaxed ambiance, good location in the town of San Agustinillo Un Sueno is a great choice for a simple beach vacation. If you dream of waking up and stepping straight out onto the beach, listening to the ocean as you fall asleep, and if you don't need the facilities or the prices of big high rise hotels, this could be the perfect choice for you. Un Sueno has a beach bar and breakfasts are served till noon each day. A sister restaurant up the road offers other meals, but there are several other good choices nearby too. There are no phones, no air-conditioning, and the water in the showers isn't heated; but after a day on this heavenly beach in the sultry climate of this region, a refreshing cool shower suits many people just fine. What we love about Un Sueno are the four independent, thatched roof cabanas that are perched right on the beach. The other cabanas here may have more privacy and are larger, but if a prime view is important to you then it's a good idea to book well in advance as cabanas are allocated in the order that the bookings are received.

Las Mananitas WE LIKE: Tranquil retreat just a few hours from Mexico City, famous restaurant Las Mananitas is well known as one of the country's finest restaurants, but many people are unaware of the delightful accommodations also offered within the spectacular gardens. There are 21 rooms and suites, most enjoying views of the colorful shrubs, tropical greenery and carefully maintained lawns that surround the property, as well as its resident collection of peacocks, parrots and other tropical birds. It's incredible to imagine that this little paradise lies not only close to the heart of Cuernavaca but also within only an hour or two of the world's largest metropolis of Mexico City. For business people with meetings in the city, Las Mananitas is the perfect weekend escape. It's also the ideal start or end to a vacation for those who would rather not stay in the capital - there are many interesting sights in Cuernavaca, including a majestic Cathedral, Hernan Cortes' Palace, and some fine museums - all within walking distance of Las Mananitas. |

Camino Real Zaashila WE LIKE: Great beach, good for families With its superb pool and great beach, the Camino Real Zaashila is a tropical delight for both families and couples. The Deluxe Rooms are spacious, easily sufficient for two adults and two small children who don't mind sharing two double beds and one bathroom. They are slightly elevated so have good views over the bay and are close to all the amenities. The Club rooms also offer a pretty plunge pool. |

Quinta Real Huatulco WE LIKE: Luxurious rooms, good restaurant, very stylish The Quinta Real offers sumptuous suites with a well-planned and exceptionally attractive design. Moorish domes dominate the skyline and give a grand elegance to the restaurant and bar, whose terraces offer fantastic views over the bay for the most memorable evenings. The outlandishly romantic bathrooms include large oval Jacuzzi tubs directly overlooking the ocean. Grand Class suites have large balconies complete with hammocks and outdoor dining furniture plus more fantastic views, while the Private Pool suites have an appealing duplex arrangement, with the lower floor occupied by a private terrace and a good sized plunge pool. |

Baja Camp WE LIKE: Stunning landscape; superb cuisine; sense of adventure The virtually uninhabited island of Espiritu Santo plays host to one of the most luxurious of camp-hotels. Five safari-style tents lie on a pristine beach, with a maximum of ten people at any one time to share the starkly beautiful landscape, the spectacularly clear ocean and the breathtaking night sky. Add to this some of the finest cuisine you'll find anywhere on the Baja peninsula (we enjoyed scallop carpaccio, chocolate clams, delicately flavored seafood pasta and flambéed bananas during our stay) and the genuinely warm hospitality, and the result is close to perfection. Note: Baja Camp is only open from May to early October. |

Villa Rolandi WE LIKE: All rooms have ocean view; stunning pool; great food From the moment you step on to the hotel's private yacht 'Cocoon' for the transfer to Isla Mujeres you know that Villa Rolandi is something special. All rooms have an ocean view so you can enjoy breakfast on your terrace, with the ocean twinkling below in the morning sunlight. During the day it's bliss to laze around the stunning infinity pool, stroll along the soft sand, or maybe try one of the many tours available, including scuba-diving, boat hire, deep-sea fishing, or a shopping trip into town. Continental breakfast, lunch or dinner are all included in your room rate and the gourmet Swiss and Italian dishes, plus a selection of over eighty of the finest tequilas, make evening meals under the stars an occasion to remember.

One&Only Palmilla WE LIKE: Incredible facilities; superb service; family friendly The lavish remodeling of the already-legendary Palmilla has boosted the resort to the top rank of super-luxury hotels in Los Cabos. You won't find a better class of hotel anywhere in Latin America. It's impossible to overstate the decadence here - from butler service in every room to the opportunity to reserve your own private cove, complete with four-poster bed and over-water sun loungers. The main restaurant 'C' is one of the finest we've experienced, while the lush spa and golf facilities are second to none. Although Palmilla is heavenly for honeymooners, families too can enjoy the superb facilities; there's a special Club house for kids and an activities program for children from four to eleven years old. |

Dolphin Cove Inn WE LIKE: Flexible and family-friendly accommodations plus romantic suites, wonderful ocean views This unusual property consists of forty five rooms and suites hugging the hillside of Manzanillo Bay, close to Las Hadas. Each room has a balcony or a terrace with wonderful ocean views plus a kitchen or kitchenette. There are a multitude of different options for families, from studios with an extra bed to two or three bedroom suites and connecting rooms and suites. Within walking distance of your suite are a small grocery store, the swimming pool and beach, tennis courts and a golf course. Note that since the property is located on many levels of the hillside there are lots of steps, and the hotel is not recommended for those with walking difficulties. We recommend the Dolphin Cove in for those looking for an economical and convenient beach vacation and it works especially well for larger families and for groups.

All rooms are equally comfortable, carefully and beautifully decorated, and have such exquisite attention to detail that it's very unlikely you will want for anything whilst staying here. |

Camino Real Oaxaca WE LIKE: One of the most beautiful historical properties in Mexico, great location and courtyard swimming pool Formerly the 16th Century convent of Santa Catalina, the hotel is a beautiful combination of the historical, together with the excellent facilities and services of the prestigious Camino Real Group. In one of the bougainvillea decked courtyards is a stunning swimming pool, surrounded by ancient stone walls, restored frescoes and flowering shrubs. In another, tables from the restaurant spill out under colonnades, and echoes of Gregorian chants drift in the breeze. |

W Mexico City WE LIKE: Trendy and buzzing city hotel, lively bar, great service The hottest place to stay in Mexico City right now is the ultra-modern W Hotel, with its vibrant red interiors and buzzing lounge bar. Although critics may say that the hotel lacks traditional Mexican flavor, we reckon that it offers the perfect opportunity to witness the every day city life of the affluent young Mexicans who frequent this area. The bar is usually full of dating couples, smart business people and occasional tourists, and it stays busy often until the early hours. The restaurant also serves until at least midnight and the menu includes a "by the piece" section featuring sushi, satay, tempura and oysters - perfect for late night nibbles. The W's location in up-market Polanco is ideal for sightseeing, being close to the museums and parks, and is also convenient for the city's best restaurants. Don't forget to save some time to enjoy the fantastic spa facilities at the hotel - these have to be some of the best we've seen in a city property. |

Grand Velas Nuevo Vallarta WE LIKE: Ultra-luxurious all-inclusive resort, families welcomed, magnificent suites The Grand Velas has taken the all-inclusive vacation to a new level of luxury. Couples and families looking for an alternative to the Four Seasons in Punta Mita will find this resort very attractive. The magnificent two and three bedroom suites are some of the finest accommodations around the Bay of Banderas and resort has impressive facilities, including an excellent spa and childrens' activity program. The standards of service are very high, though in our opinion not quite as polished as the Four Seasons (though for many people the convenience of the all-inclusive plan will compensate for this). The Grand Velas also has the advantage of a convenient location, being within easy reach of both the airport and the town, and a lovely long beach.

Majahuitas Resort WE LIKE: Rustic and romantic hideaway, beautiful beach, great service and food Desert island hideaways don't get much better than idyllic Majahuitas Resort. The hotel's 18 acres are actually part of the mainland, but because there are no roads to the area the only access is by sea. And so your vacation begins with a leave-your-worries-behind-you boat trip along the stunning coastline of the Bay of Banderas. Away from Puerto Vallarta, the sea becomes clearer and blue-green. Twenty minutes later the boat arrives at one of the most picturesque coves on the coast. Seven casitas cling to the shoreline and slopes of the one third of a mile long beach, each casita having a perfect sea view. To describe the resort as simple or rustic is deceptive. While it's true that there are no televisions, telephones or air-conditioning (in fact the hotel is mostly solar powered), the resort boasts gourmet food and extraordinary service. We'd highly recommend Majahuitas for romantics and honeymooners (the hotel has also hosted complete wedding ceremonies). It's also one of the best places we've found for pure relaxation. |

If you've been searching for something out of the ordinary for a honeymoon or other romantic occasion but don't want to sacrifice a central location, we recommend that you check out the Honeymoon Suites with their huge terraces and outdoor Jacuzzis or the sumptuous Master Suites. The latter must some of the finest accommodations in town, boasting indoor and outdoor whirlpools and breathtaking views up and down the Bay of Banderas. Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa is a premium all-inclusive property with an optional European Plan (no meals, drinks or activities included). Guests may select the plan of their choice when booking. Guests at the Villa Premiere must be at least sixteen years old and conscious efforts are made to create an elegant and formal ambiance. |

Bungalows Lydia WE LIKE: Tranquil location on two beautiful beaches, simple and charming accommodations with kitchenettes, wonderful for long stays Bungalows Lydia is perched above two beautiful, virtually private beaches just a short drive from San Francisco (San Pancho), a little town about 30 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. It is a tranquil and picturesque location that's ideal for a few days of total relaxation and heavenly for a longer stay. We could imagine hiding away here for a few months to escape a cold winter (the property has wi-fi throughout, so it's easy to keep in touch too). The rooms and bungalows can accomodate from two to four peope. Each unit has a kitchenette with refrigerator and coffee maker etc; many have wonderful views over the beaches. The property is owned and carefully maintained by two sisters who are charming hosts and great sources of local information. There is ongoing work on some rooms and plans to maybe add a restaurant, so check with us about any construction when you reserve.

Playa Escondida WE LIKE: Rustic and secluded beach hideaway, romantic ocean view rooms, great restaurant and bar We can't wait to go back to this fun little hotel that's hidden on a secluded bay near to Sayulita. The accommodations are rustic, quirky, and romantic in a simple, sensuous kind of way, with lovely ocean and jungle views, sea breezes and secluded terraces. But what sets it apart from other rustic hideaways, in our opinion, is the delightful restaurant and the enticing swimming pool, set in lush tropical gardens overlooking the ocean. There's even a cute little bar with a real tropical ambiance, reminiscent of a Caribbean beach bar. The smiles of the staff are infectious and you really can't help but have a great time here. Highly recommended for honeymooners and couples of all ages. |

Todos Santos Inn WE LIKE: Beautiful rooms and gardens; good location The Todos Santos Inn is a real gem with quality accommodations that are full of period charm and comfortable elegance. It serves as a wondefully luxurious base for excursions into the area's desert landscapes and Pacific beaches. It's also an ideal escape from the commercialized Capes and even a few days will leave you with a taste of the real Mexico. Cabanas la Conchita WE LIKE: Idyllic location; beautiful rustic rooms; superb breakfast For those in search of a simple but idyllic beach vacation, Cabanas la Conchita is heaven on earth. Wake each morning to bright blue skies and the warm Caribbean just yards from your room; fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and the rustle of palm fronds. Days can be filled with swimming and snorkeling, diving and cycling or hiking - or just relaxing on the quiet little beach. The hotel is our favorite amongst the cluster of casita style resorts on this stretch of coast because of the careful and artistic design, the simple luxuries of spotlessly clean bathrooms with hot water, and the pretty and well screened rooms. As an added bonus, it is (for the moment at least) fairly quiet and isn't big enough to be overrun with large groups and families.

Coqui Coqui Spa WE LIKE: Small and intimate hotel, spa facilities, good beach This unique small resort is located on a wonderful beach in Tulum. There are just 7 beautifully appointed rooms. The style of the property is very different to others in this area. It is less beach cabana and more of a elegant but rustic hotel. Canopied beds, rattan furniture and cream stone bathrooms which feature a large soaking tub add to the style. The hotel has a very good spa which offers a range of services from massages to facials and some wonderful spa ritual packages. There is a small restaurant which serves breakfast. Lunch and dinner are available with prior reservation. The hotel is also within walking distance of several other good restaurants. |

La Via Laktea WE LIKE: Quiet location, superb beach, spacious rooms La Via Laktea is a pretty hotel situated in south Tulum, close to the biosphere reserve. Its location means that there are far fewer people passing by on the beach making the hoyel a relaxing and tranquil place to take a vacation. The ocean front rooms are in 3 two storey buildings and are just set a little back from the beach to maintain privacy. They are spacious and have a king bed, table and chairs and a writing desk for those all important postcards. Each room has a large terrace or balcony complete with outdoor table and chairs and a hammock to sleep away the afternoons in. There is no restaurant here which keeps the hotel very quiet but they serve a very simple but excellent continental breakfast on request.

Posada Margherita WE LIKE: Amazing beach; great food; rooms cool at night A small and friendly rustic resort located on a beautiful stretch of beach with comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms and a great restaurant. Though the rooms themselves aren't directly on the beach, they are all only a few steps away and most have glimpses of the powder-white sand and turquoise ocean. Although there are no electrical outlets there is 24-hour electrical lighting and the recent addition of surprisingly effective tower fans ensures that the rooms are kept cool in the evenings. We were also pleasantly surprised to find other amenities not typically found in this part of Tulum, including room service, and wireless internet access in the restaurant and surrounding beach area. |

Hacienda Santa Rosa WE LIKE: Good for sightseeing; luxurious rooms; friendly atmosphere The Hacienda Santa Rosa is a true haven for those intent on seeing the very best that the Yucatan has to offer. We particularly like the intimacy and serenity of the Santa Rosa. A visit here is rather like staying with friends - the welcome is warm and sincere and it's fun to watch the daily activity around this rather grand house. Rooms offer glorious oversized bathrooms, soaring ceilings - some more than twenty feet high - and enormous, heavy doors that lend so much to the atmosphere. Some original floor tiles also remain, and the rough walls have been repainted in typically Mexican yellows, oranges and blues. |

Hacienda Temozon WE LIKE: Historical rooms; grand estate; excellent tours; Temozon is a grand and formal hacienda estate. Its exquisitely furnished reception rooms and guest quarters offer visitors a real taste of the affluent lifestyle enjoyed by the lords of sisal during the early 19th century. The location is ideal, being in the heart of the Mayan countryside and at the gateway to the stunning Puuc sites of Uxmal and Kabah. Much of the original decor has been preserved, from the intricately decorated floor tiles (imported from Italy on board the returning sisal boats) to the picturesque red and yellow mineral pigments used to color the stucco walls. |

Quinta Real Zacatecas WE LIKE: Spectacularly beautiful hotel, great bar Architecturally stunning, this luxury hotel and its surroundings are a must-see in Zacatecas. Where else can you stay in a hotel that incorporates the oldest bull ring in North America and lies alongside a 16th century aqueduct?
The interior of the hotel is equally impressive. Hallways circle the bull ring, boldly decorated and filled with a profusion of potted plants and shrubs. You'll find elegant boutiques and grand function rooms around the perimeter, with the prime spot reserved for the sophisticated restaurant. The Quinta Real group are renowned for their high class cuisine with an emphasis on Mexican ingredients. |

Brisas del Mar WE LIKE: Charming small hotel, beachfront location, good value Brisas del Mar is a charming small hotel with an excellent location. It's situated right on Madera beach, just a short walk by the sea from the center of Zihuatanejo town. The hotel is perfect for families and offers an excellent range of accommodation with plenty of space and good facilities. The hotel is built down a steep hill and as a result there are several flights of stairs separating the rooms and hotel facilities; as there is no elevator it wouldn't be a good choice for elderly people or anyone with mobility problems. |

La Casa que Canta WE LIKE: Incredibly romantic, very luxurious, the ultimate honeymoon hideaway La Casa que Canta is a favorite with honeymooners and it is easy to imagine that the hotel was designed to inspire romance. The cliffside setting is dramatic, providing both spectacular views and an intimate environment where each guest room is unique and apparently secluded. The romance extends to the elegant open air restaurant, where an innovative menu is served with the beautiful bay of Zihuatanejo as a backdrop.

Murmullo de la Casa que Canta WE LIKE: Luxurious villa style property with just 4 rooms, ideal for small groups and weddings El Murmullo is the sister property to la Casa que Canta and was formerly a private residence. The stunning terracotta colored building is located on a bluff projecting into the bay and enjoys breathtaking ocean views. Playa la Ropa, one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, is just a few steps from the entrance to the house and Zihuatanejo's colorful town is just a short cab ride away. There are just four luxurious suites at El Murmullo and it is an ideal choice for small groups (up to eight people). Reserving the property in its entirety would allow the group exclusive access to the beautiful infinity pool, with swim up bar, and the magnificently furnished reception areas and lounges of the Casa. |

Tides Zihuatanejo WE LIKE: Beachfront location, luxurious suites, excellent restaurants This wonderfully romantic property comes pretty close to our idea of perfection. The guest rooms capture all of the colors and charms of this richly-textured country and the suites include some of the most luxurious accommodations you'll find anywhere. Lush tropical gardens stretch right to the sands, where you'll find the surprisingly sophisticated palapa-roofed restaurant "la Villa" and engaging boat-shaped bar. A further restaurant "la Cantina" has tables spilling out onto the sands and serves Mexican dishes and seafood. The ambience of the Tides Zihuatanejo is just perfect for a beach resort; relaxed and low key in the daytime, enchantingly elegant in the evening. And although the Tides has now grown to encompass a total of seventy rooms and suites it still has all the charm and intimacy of a boutique hotel. |
