In a nutshell:
Well known for its exquisite restaurant, Las Mananitas also has beautiful guest rooms in a spectacular garden setting.  An easy side trip from Mexico City, Cuernavaca’s perfect climate and ample sightseeing make this an attractive weekend getaway.

Las Mananitas is well known as one of the country’s finest restaurants, but many people are unaware of the delightful accommodations also offered within the spectacular gardens.

It’s incredible to imagine that this little paradise lies not only close to the heart of Cuernavaca but also within only an hour or two of one of the world’s largest metropolises of Mexico City.

There are 21 rooms and suites, most enjoying views of the colorful shrubs, tropical greenery and carefully maintained lawns that surround the property, as well as its resident collection of peacocks, parrots and other tropical birds. Our favorite accommodations are the Patio Suites, which boast private walled gardens that are perfect for enjoying Cuernavaca’s warm, sunny days. These romantic rooms have lots of charm and include working fireplaces for cozy winter evenings.  Terrace Suites and Garden Suites both have large, sunny terraces overlooking the gardens.  All rooms are just a short stroll from the enticing swimming pool and of course the restaurant itself.

For business people with meetings in the city, Las Mananitas is the perfect weekend escape.

It’s also the ideal start or end to a vacation for those who would rather not stay in the capital – there are many interesting sights in Cuernavaca, including a majestic Cathedral, Hernan Cortes’ Palace, and some fine museums – all within walking distance of Las Mananitas.

The silver city of Taxco or the lively resort of Acapulco are just a few hours away, and there are luxury buses direct from the airport in Mexico to Cuernavaca.

Snatch even just a couple of days in this tranquil paradise and you’ll return refreshed and invigorated.

Rooms

Each spacious suite at Las Mananitas offers guests the perfect location to enjoy Cuernavaca – the “City of Eternal Spring”.

All Terrace suites and Garden Suites enjoy a large, sunny terrace overlooking the gardens, equipped with dining furniture and chairs for relaxation. Garden Suites are the larger of the two categories, and also feature a sitting area with a working fireplace.  Terrace suites are closer to the restaurant, and Garden Suites are located in the area of the swimming pool.

The Patio Suites are the most private accommodations, each suite with its own walled garden. These suites also include a sitting area and fireplace. Highly recommended for honeymooners and romantics!  The Mananitas Suite is ideal for a family, having two bedrooms (one with a king bed and one with 2 twin beds) plus a separate living room and a large terrace.

All rooms are lovingly furnished with antiques, beautiful fabrics and traditional handicrafts. You’ll find hair dryers, robes, a room safe, coffee maker and plenty of purified water.  All rooms now have air-conditioning and ceiling fans, although in Cuernavaca’s pleasant climate these are rarely required.

These sunny terraces are the perfect place to enjoy Cuernavaca’s constant spring climate. The views over the colorful gardens are sublime, and you might even catch sight of some of the hotel’s feathered residents!

The much sought after Patio Suites have the unusual advantage of a private terraced garden, open to the sunshine but with privacy protected by high walls. The spacious bedroom features an elegantly furnished sitting area and a working fireplace.

Patio Suites are available with either one king or two twin beds.

Choose one of Las Mananitas’ Patio Suites and you can enjoy breakfast in the garden each morning, catch the rays as the sun rises in the sky, and relax outside in the balmy afternoons with a good book.

Each Patio Suite has a walk-in closet and/or a separate dressing room. These elegant quarters are the perfect choice for a romantic weekend escape, with one of the country’s finest restaurants just a few steps from your room!

The Garden Suites are located close to the hotel’s stunning swimming pool, with views over the immaculate gardens. Each suite has a large terrace, from which guests can enjoy these tranquil vistas.

Inside, the suites consist of a large combined bedroom and sitting room, with a working fireplace and many appealing features such as high ceilings, beams, heavy wooden doors and antique furnishings.

The shady terraces of Las Mananitas’ Garden Suites have superb views of the hotel’s lush gardens and are the ideal place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast.

The Garden suites also have attractive bathrooms featuring traditional tiles, plus a separate walk-in closet or dressing room.

This very grand suite has a large living room with a fireplace and two bedrooms, each with king size beds.  The two bathrooms have tubs and showers.

The suite has a covered terrace overlooking the main garden and restaurant.

restaurant

The award winning restaurant is acknowledged as one of the finest in Mexico. The extensive menu is traditionally displayed on a chalkboard, and the favorites of regular diners include the Sea Bass Capy, Red Snapper curry and Black Bottom Pie.

Whatever your choice, the cuisine will be as memorable as the stunning surroundings.

pool

In the second and very private garden lies the enticing swimming pool. Pool towels are provided for guests, and drinks or snacks can be served by the pool for hotel residents.

One of the pleasures of a stay at Las Mananitas is the chance to explore the tropical gardens surrounding the hotel. These gardens are home to a variety of specials of exotic birds and life-size sculptures by Francisco Zuniga. It’s a surprise to find such a lush and serene landscape so close to the city.
