Yelapa is a small town on the Bay of Banderas that’s accessible only by sea. Take a water taxi from la Boca de Tomatlan to reach the town, enjoying a scenic journey along the beautiful coastline on the way.
In Yelapa you can enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the restaurants, relax on the beach, or maybe stay overnight in one of the small hotels. The energetic can hike to a waterfall or snorkel in the bay. Yelapa is also famous for its “Pie Ladies”, who walk along the beach selling tasty home-cooked pies.
